REPTON ENTERPRISE
THEATRE & THE ARTS
The 400 Hall was built as the school theatre to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the School and has since undergone a multi-million-pound redevelopment. The award-winning theatre is technically equipped and has a capacity of 315 seats on two levels and has been designed in a similar form developed for the Jerwood Vanbrugh Theatre at RADA. It uses two intersecting circles to unify the worlds of the actor and audience, bringing intensity to the stage experience as well as offering stage-levelling devices, providing an extraordinary variety of performance options.
Aside from the main stage itself, The 400 Hall includes The Charlesworth Studio, a large versatile rehearsal space, which can also be used for smaller performances and recitals. The Charlesworth studio is also technically equipped for sound and lighting. The main foyer includes a bar and an entertaining area, perfect for pre and post-performance gatherings.
Both venues can be hired together or separately.
Full technical support can be organised and provided on discussion with the Theatre Manager.
