SEVEN REPTONIANS PLAY IN SUPER 6’S WOMEN'S HOCKEY FINALS

Seven current Repton School pupils and Old Reptonian Ellie Watton competed for Repton Hockey Club in the England Hockey Super 6s Finals at the Copper Box Arena on the Olympic Park.

The Repton HC women’s team featuring Izzi E, Tilly B, Bronte B, Claudia S, Ella B, Pippa J and Poppy B defeated the defending champions Buckingham HC 5-3 in the semi-finals. They met East Grinstead HC in the final where they were crowned runners-up, losing a close 4-3 after staging a nail-biting late comeback.

The team played skillfully, showing ability beyond their years in front of over 2,000 spectators with many more watching a livestream on YouTube. Old Reptonian Arjan Drayton-Chana was also in action playing for Surbiton in the men’s finals.

Repton is proud to have many pupils go on to play hockey at senior level, nationally and internationally. With many talented young hockey players amongst our pupil body, the school’s commitment to maintaining close ties with local clubs allows players to broaden their competitive experiences, competing against the very best in the country.
