DT SCHOLARS ENTER SHELL BRIGHT IDEAS CHALLENGE
We are delighted to present Repton Prep's team for Shell's Bright Ideas Challenge: Alex G, Donald W, Jonathan B, Eva L, Zach G, Jasper S, Ehmun S and Kitty P.
This national STEM competition is designed to spark young people’s curiosity in science and engineering and these brilliant young minds are already hard at work.
Zach, Donald and Jasper have developed an idea for the iconic site of the disused Willington Power Station, developing a clean hydrogen manufacturing facility to produce green energy to serve the local community, including both Repton sites.
Eva, Ehmun and Kitty have designed a cycle path made from recycled materials, lit by solar lighting and flanked by pollution absorbing plants between our two Repton sites to discourage car use.
Jonathan has designed a pioneering green rail transport system.
Winners will be announced in June.
