TENNIS SUCCESS

Congratulations to Ferial A (Y7) who represented the Derbyshire U12 County Cup Team over the weekend. The team of five went onto win the overall division beating Staffordshire, Hereford & Worcestershire and Shropshire. Ferial won all three of her singles matches and continued this positive performance into her doubles matches.

Katy Wilson Derbyshire’s U12 County Cup Captain said: “It had been a fabulous weekend seeing the team compete in Malvern. Ferial is an extremely talented player with a bright future ahead of her”.

At Repton Prep, achieving in Sport at the highest levels of performance and healthy participation for all are in no way mutually exclusive. Here sport is inspirational to all and integral to daily life. Repton Prep has a long tradition of sporting excellence with both regional and national success and is passionately committed as ever to maximising pupils’ potential and fostering sporting excellence, but above all we want to engender a lifelong love of sport in all our pupils.

Ferial takes advantage of having individual training sessions with our tennis coach Ben Rushby and has the opportunity to train with senior tennis squads at Repton School.

Headmaster Rob Relton is immensely proud of Ferial and how she has embraced the sporting opportunities available to her at Repton: “It is wonderful to see Ferial achieve at the highest level and I know that hearing about her success will inspire pupils across the School.”

Ferial was not the only Repton Prep pupil who represented their county at the competition. Aanya (Y7) played for the U12 Staffordshire County Cup team in Malvern over the weekend.

Congratulations to both players for their fantastic performance.
